THE CHALLENGE
W&W Plastic and Polymer does not have a web presence. Our challenge is to web-enable them and to promote their website such that the total company sales volume will increase by 30%-40%. This is a small and medium company that looks into the needs to market its products and positions their services in the competitive market within a tight budget.
THE SOLUTION
A requirement and needs analysis session was conducted with the client to understand the business objectives and purpose of the website. It was identified in that session that there was a need for a basic website that is simple yet informative, containing all of the products as well as its own site search capability.
Due to the nature of the client’s business, we propose that there is a need for a Polymer Terminology Search feature, O-Ring Size Search and Unit of Measure Conversion as well as Mailing List feature. Web promotion is also another key area of focus for the client. With all the requirements gathered, we proposed and developed the website for W&W Plastic and Polymer.
WEB DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
Web site design & development consisting of image enhancement, content copywriting and creation, navigation enhancement and site optimisation.
The website has these few key functions listed below:
- New Polymer Terminology Search.
- Loaded the Polymer terminology and developed the search using ASP. - O-Ring Size Search Service.
- Loaded common O-Ring sizes and developed the search using ASP.
Unit of Measure Conversion
- Loaded the varioud Unit of Measure used.
WEB PROMOTION
We did several online submissions and promotions to the prominent search engines and within 3 months, client seen about 30% to 40% increase in sales, with the first orders coming from Asia Pacific region and beyond!
